The Girl Scout Troops of South Mississippi are collecting school supplies, books, small toys, stuffed and hygienic and personal care items to fill backpacks.  The backpacks will be sent to the Girl Scout Council of West Burlington, Iowa, for distribution to victims of the Mississippi River flooding.  It is felt that is a good way for the people of the coast to “pay forward” the aid and hope given us following Hurricane Katrina.  Items should be brought to the parish hall by Sunday, July 27.
